Neurodiversity is an important and often underestimated building block for successful, diversified teams. It describes the variety of neurological characteristics, talents and personality traits that different team members can possess.
While neurotypical employees are generally idealized and preferred because they are considered easier, neurodivergent employees, i.e. those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, bipolarity, etc., are often overlooked, disadvantaged or underestimated.

In addition to neurodiversity, internationality also plays an important role in the dissolution of homogeneous thought structures and processes. While companies are becoming increasingly international and knowledge of different languages and cultures is therefore an advantage for all employees, members of different cultures with different native languages produce different approaches to solving the same problem when working together internally.
If these are combined into a solution concept by a creative leader, the result is more creative, more holistic and more efficient than if a homogeneous team with an identical cultural background and one native language were to tackle the problem.
Multilingual employees also have the advantage that they have a better feel for misunderstandings based on the choice of words and indirectly contribute to these being discovered and clarified earlier because they have fewer inhibitions about asking if they have not understood something.
They are used to combining the structures of different languages and ideas and can therefore make valuable contributions to finding solutions.
