Phase-cination for lighting & technology
Every crisis is a chance – With this motivation, Jasmin Konnegen came to Berlin in mid-2024 to realise her vision of holistic support for Europe’s struggling electronics industry by founding CHANGE LIGHT-LY.
With a master’s degree in engineering and 20+ years of experience in electronics – as an event technician, software developer, laboratory engineer and manager – in development, product and innovation management, she knew that the European electronics industry was missing important keys to success:
- Visibility & reach
- Self-confidence and pride in its own brand and DNA
- Access to part-time expert knowledge
- European partners and networks
- Opportunities to overcome cultural and language barriers
She has always been fascinated by technology and lighting and wants to work and contribute in a field where she can combine her experience and passions.
Her decision to establish CHANGE LIGHT-LY builds on these passions and helps companies across Europe to adapt to a changing economic climate.
She knows that a lot of companies in electronics manufacturing across Europe are facing the challenge of adapting to modern expectations. – Her insights and broad experience across different electronic industries allow her to quickly understand the bigger picture and pinpoint what changes are needed to engage the team and address outdated structures.
Having developed her passion for electronics manufacturing as a child, when her parents’ house was temporarily transformed into a THT assembly facility for the PCBs of the first energy-saving light bulbs, she no longer wanted to stand by and watch the industry stagnate.
Therefore, she felt that she needed to strengthen and support the European electronics industry beyond founding CHANGE LIGHT-LY.
She had already proven that every crisis is a chance in 2020/2021, when she played a key role in restructuring and preserving a struggling lighting manufacturer during the pandemic.
It was during this time that she developed her partnership with SRM Mikroelektronik – a Berlin based EMS company – whose managing director she teamed up with in early 2025 to launch the idea of #ProudlyEngineeredInEurope, with the aim of jointly seeking partners for their optimistic strategic approach:
Pooling and sharing expert resources
Creating resilient European supply chains
Strengthening the electronics industry through European cooperation
For her, one thing is certain:
Europe’s strength lies in its diversity and in respectful, cooperative partnership – across companies and national borders, generations and disciplines.
Fluent in English and French – combined with a soft spot for Germany’s beautiful neighboring country France – she connects electronics companies in the heart of Europe to co-create innovative, sustainable products with resilient supply chains, innovative products and a sustainable industrial future for Europe.
Electronics for Europe
Electronic products and digital services are created by people for people in order to solve their problems. That’s why we put the team members implementing the products at the centre of our approach.
We empower them to conduct their work with creativity and enthusiasm in a time- and cost-efficient manner.
We are convinced that employees who can work in accordance with their skills and interests are more content and thus achieve the best and most economical results. They enjoy working together while creating impressive & sustainable products.
In an increasingly digitized world, personal contact and open discussions are more important than ever, as the opportunities for personal interaction are becoming increasingly rare, while people as such stay social beings who need to live and work in a social setup.
